PURE* computers
The plushDEPARTMENT has an intriguing line of computers on their site under the PURE* label. These computers come packed in an artsy or matte finish hand crafted ceramic case. This concept, borrowed from the vinyl toy culture, allows you to choose a work of art you like or create your own. The hardware inside of the PURE* line isn’t bad (core 2 duo, ATI 4650, 4GB ram, 1TB sata II hard drive), but it would be nice to have options. Perhaps if it catches on we will be able to buy just the cases one day and add our own hardware. It is always great to see a little intrinsic value added to an otherwise instrumental object.
